I like bubblegum reggae. I feel like I am on vacation in a beautiful country sitting in a bar with locals enjoying the sights, sounds and whatever is being served.

Flying Machine is one of those bubblegum songs. Is Flying Machine a sci-fi or space related/influenced song. Not particularly. The flying machine is likely an airplane, or was it? I just imagine a spaceship pilot casually flying through a solar system bopping iand around planets. Flying in and out of atmospheres, manevouring in some close fly boys of exotic flora and mammals. Much like what I do while playing No Man’s Sky.

Fantastic Voyage was supposed to be a procedural with music. That was a bit too ambitious for me (time). The main character was a spaceship captain who loved finding new music in amongst his travels and jobs. I could see my character having this in his spaceship’s song bank.

Teddy Magnus was an alias of Alan Magnus, who recently passed away at the age of 80. Alan had a long running and loved morning show in Jamaica.

Jamaica had a UFO sighting, recently, that garnered some attention when footballer Chris Smalling and his wife saw a UFO while on vacation in Jamaica.

My copy of the 7-inch has “C.B.” and “Tony.” I wonder if that is two different names or one name. C.B. Tony would make a great name for a communications person on a spaceship.

Anyways, a quick search did not reveal any recordings of Alan’s morning show. I’d like to hear it sometime. If you come across this and have some recordings, get in touch.
